Day One: Arriving in New Zealand
Activity One: The first settlers
It is widely believed that the first people to arrive in New Zealand
came from Polynesia. Most historians believe that they landed in
New Zealand over 700 years ago. Although they were originally
from many different countries, these settlers learned to live
together and, eventually, formed their own distinct culture known
as ‘Māori.’ Māori have their own language, traditions, and culture.

you learned about this interesting man. What other stories
have you heard about Maui?

Hey Save'u,
ReplyDeleteI like how you stated the way Maui never gives up, avoids negativity and is also the youngest of 5 brothers in total.
I can connect with the story Maui and the Sun because I learnt about the story when I was younger.
Maybe a bit more detail would make your blog posting interesting but also fuller.

I like how you started of it definitely hooked me to carry on reading.
What would you do if you were Maui?
Hey there Saveu, great job with this post. I really like the facts you have chosen, especially the third one.
ReplyDeleteI think we could all learn a thing or two from Maui.
His brothers were never very nice to him.
Have you spent much time fishing?
